This book consists of seven volumes and is an invaluable resource for anyone with roots in Quebec.
The Bibliothèque nationale du Québec has PDF
versions of each volume available online. The
following links allow you to download them from their web site. Be warned that each volume is HUGE.
Even with my ISDN (128K) connection, it took me several hours just to download volume 1.

Dictionnaire généalogique des familles du Québec

This is another great resource for Canadian records. Since the data comes from parishes, all data is
of the religious nature. For example, it does not contain birth dates, but it does have baptism dates.
And it has burial dates instead of death dates. And of course it has marriage dates as well.
